A recipe like this is one that can easily be enjoyed as a brunch item. All of the savory elements work extremely well together and the smoked salmon adds an extra wow factor that cannot be ignored. I gained inspiration from this recipe because of a café I went to in Studio City, California. It was named Aroma Coffee and Tea. After my visit I created my own, similar version of their “Salmon Stack” and I've been eating it ever since.

What type of Salmon should I use?
Smoked salmon comes in a wide range of varieties from Atlantic Smoked Salmon, Pacific Smoked Salmon, Lox, and Nova to name a few. This particular brand is one I picked up from Whole Foods; it was really tasty. The kind I buy usually comes in a package similar to this and I've though I've had many different brands, I haven't bought any freshly prepared before.
Jazz it up if you wish
These hashbrowns with a twist give you the option of turning it into whatever you want; whether you wish to add peppers and onions to your hash browns (or eggs) or add cheese and other sauces and turn this into a completely different dish. Be as creative as you want to. I choose to keep mine simple because I want each of the elements to have their time to shine. If you do choose to add salt & pepper to the hash browns I recommend doing so sparingly as smoked salmon is usually very flavorful.
Just a few ingredients make this recipe complete.
