Cooks & Soldiers

I recently ordered takeout from Cooks & Soldiers and I must say I have no idea why it took me so long to get there. I took my food home for the family to enjoy that day and that 30 minute drive must have been one of the longest car rides of my life. Why? Because the aroma that filled up my entire car was so divine, so marvelous that I almost pulled over and ripped the bag open to feast all by myself.

When I did arrive home, I was more than anxious to enjoy the meal so here’s what I ordered: Now, let me preface this by saying I know their menu changes from time to time and they often offer chef specials but you can be sure to find their signature sandwich, the “Bikini” on the menu when you visit. It’s super decadent-a white cheddar grilled cheese sandwich filled with Jamón Ibérico and Black Truffle. The cheese oozed out upon first bite, filling my mouth with joy.

All of the food I enjoyed here was EXTREMELY savory and rich with many different robust flavors, each unique in their own way. Next time I visit I’ll most definitely try more of the specials. I absolutely cannot wait to get back.

Garlic Roasted Shrimp with Grilled Mountain Bread

It’s difficult to think of just one word to describe these roasted greens just know that they were so tender and packed with a very unsuspecting punch of flavor. These made me soooooo very happy. I’ve never quite had greens like this before.

Straight from the menu: ensalada verde | local greens, endive, roasted peppers, sunchoke, red onion, cava vinaigrette

Cooks & Soldiers really outdid themselves with these items. I am THRILLED to have been in the presence of such remarkable cuisine!
